The Manitowoc Bandits stay undefeated in the Shoreland League Regular season with a 6-5 win over Algoma last night. A sacrifice fly by Chris Rohr in the 3rd inning brought in the games first run and was followed up by a rbi single by Luke Mandich. Mike Ruzek added two more runs in the 4th with a double and Chris Rohr hit a solo home run to lead off the 5th. Mike Ruzek had another RBI double in the 6th to put the bandits ahead 6-0. Algoma fought back in the bottom of the sixth plating 4 runs lead by a 3-run home run by Austin Dart. Dart would again score in the bottom of ninth to make the score 6-5, but catcher Reese Berg threw out an Algoma runner trying to steal second base and that ended Algoma’s comeback opportunity. Luke Mandich went the distance with 13 K’s and 8 hits. The Bandits travel to Branch for a 6pm game tonight. (Tuesday July 13th.)
