The Manitowoc Bandits are 1 game away from winning their 3rd straight Shoreland League Title. The Bandits out scored Ashwaubenon 16-8 Friday night to take game 1 of the best of three series. Lucas Mandich struck out 15 in 8 innings but 6 errors and 10 hits lead to Ashwaubenon’s runs. The Bandits scored 2 runs in the 2nd, 5th,6th, and 8th innings. The bandits also added 4 runs in each the 7th and 9th innings. Earl Vorpagel had the big day going 3-4, reaching base 7-8 times with a walk and 2 hit by pitches. The bandits banged out a total of 15 hits and had 33 total base runners during the game. The excitement continues tomorrow at 4pm at Municipal for game 2 of the series with game 3 (if needed following right after. Come out to the ballpark and cheer on the Manitowoc Bandits!
