About Us
The Manitowoc Bandits were formed in 1998 after the departure of the Manitowoc Skunks to Brainerd, Minnesota. Unlike their predecessors, the Bandits are not limited to collegiate-only players and the Wisconsin State League, of which they are members, is filled with several former professional players as well as current and former collegiate players. It is believed to be one of the most competitive leagues in the entire Midwest with teams from Wisconsin and the Chicagoland Area.
Prior to the 2001 season, the Bandits restructured their organization into a six-member Board of Directors. That Board of Directors oversees all aspects of the Bandits season, the Board is as follows:
- President: Quentin T. Powalish Email Quentin
- Vice President/Treasurer: James Maurer
- General Manager: Bo Perkins
- Board Member: Jim Kaufmann
- Board Member: Brian Shallue
- Player Manager: Josh Krowiorz
Special Duties:
- Scheduling/Recruiting - Bo Perkins
- Pre-Game (First Pitch/National Anthem) - Jim Kaufmann
- Game Day Operations - James Maurer
- Hall of Fame - Bo Perkins
- Fund Raising - James Maurer
- Press Box - Quentin Powalish
- Public Relations/Press Releases - James Maurer
- Web Site Manager - Don Seiler
There are future plans to expand the Board of Directors and if you are interested in becoming a part of that growth, please contact James or Quentin.
We hope to see you at the ballpark this year!
Sincerely,
The Manitowoc Bandits
