Bandits Advance to Round Two, Will Face Menasha

The Manitowoc Bandits will advance to the second round of the 2009 NEWBL playoffs after defeating De Pere by a score of 15-3 on Tuesday night in Manitowoc behind the pitching of Joe Jost and and offensive output of eighteen hits which included an outstanding performance by Mike Hall who was 4x5 with six RBIs. Brock Wetenkamp also had a great night at the plate as he was 3x5 with a single, double and a homerun. Doug Bloom and Nat Richter each had three hits apiece as well as the Bandits ended the DePere season.
Menasha also eliminated the Little Chute RiverBandits by a score of 9-0 and will be the Bandits opponent in round two. The next round begins Friday night when the Bandits travel to Menasha for a 7:15 contest.
