Bandits Finish 2011 Season with Championship

The Manitowoc Bandits claimed the 2011 NEWBL Championship with a 10-2 win over the Sheboygan A's on Thursday night. Liam O'Brien picked up his eighth win of the year and Sam Spurney hit his eighth homer of the year. The Bandits were sent back home for game three by last night's drubbing by the A's and responded by serving up the same in return. O'Brien was stellar on the mound for Manitowoc and the bats answered the call. Matt Shea pitched the ninth inning to put a cap on a fine season at Municipal Field. 9 months 'til more Bandits baseball!
