Bandits Split with Menasha 10-0; 2-15

Game one was all Bandits as the ballclub cruised to a 10-0 win behind the pitching of Joe Christensen and lots of timely hitting.  Shortly after the conclusion of the first game, Mother Nature once again intervened, causing a 40 minute rain delay and putting game two in jeapordy.  After a little field work, the second game got underway but it was all Macs as they scored twelve runs in the top of the first inning and completed the 15-2 win in five innings.  Greg Herr took the loss and Brandon Bartels pitched 4 2/3 innings of relief.  Ben Warwick broke up the Menasha no-hitter with a single to right center in the bottom of the fifth on a diving effort by the Macs rightfielder.  Nat Richter and Brock Wetenkamp followed it up with solid singles to record the Bandits only hits.  The Bandits travel to Sheboygan on Wednesday night for a big contest with the A's.  The top of the NEWBL is still a mess and tonight's split only adds to the drama.  The Bandits then travel to Eau Claire this weekend for a four game series.
