Bandits Sweep Kings to Finish .500

Matt Roberts picked up his first career win for the Bandits as he took control on the mound after a rough first inning to defeat the Kenosha Kings by a score of 9-5.  Kenosha put up three runs in the first inning on a homerun over the left field fence but Roberts settled down and had a solid seven-inning complete game win under his belt by the time it was over.  Max Stepan was 3x4 with two doubles and Josh Krowiorz was 1x2 with a 2-run homer to pace the Bandits offensively.
In game two it was much of the same as the Kings started out hot and picked up a 4-1 lead before the Bandits chipped away to tie it in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Stepan once again led the offense, going 2x3 with a double and two runs scored while CJ Marx picked up the win in relief of Tom Vieau.  The Bandits won the game in walk-off fashion when Mike Hall doubled with Sam Spurney on first base in the bottom of the seventh to score the winning run.
The Bandits wrap up their Wisconsin State League season with a respectable 16-16 record in one of the nation's most competitive leagues.  The Northeastern League playoffs begin Monday night when the Bandits host the DePere RiverBandits in the start of a three game series.  Since DePere does not have lights, the Bandits will host all three games with DePere playing as the home team on Tuesday night.  All games start at 7:30.
