Bandits Wrap Up Regular Season with Win, Now Wait
The Bandits wrapped up the 2010 regular season with a 9-1 win over the De Pere RiverBandits. Miles Mayer picked up the win with seven solid innings of work. Stewart Larson was 5x5 on the evening and fell just one hit short of tying Joe Borchardt's record of hits in a game. Borchardt was 6x6 in the Bandits second game ever back in 1998. Nat Richter was 3x4 and continued hitting at his torrid pace and Sam Spurney added another pair of doubles, giving him 17 on the season. The Bandits must now wait to see if DePere can sweep Sheboygan in a DH on Friday night. Sheboygan defeated Oshkosh tonight and needs only one more victory to eliminate the Bandits from a playoff appearance. Results will be posted late Friday night and if the Bandits do get in the playoffs, they will play at 1pm on Saturday at Green Bay.
