A's Force Game 3 on Thursday Night, Win 14-3
The Bandits jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead as Max Stepan hit a two-out homerun in the top of the first inning and Bandits starter Chris Krepline cruised through the first two innings before Sheboygan's bats came alive and scored five in the bottom of the third and another five in the bottom of the fourth en route to a 13-3 win. Sheboygan, who was playing with their playoff lives on the line, force a decisive game three at Manitowoc on Thursday night at 7:30 pm. The Bandits offense was able to muster only five hits of Sheboygan starter and former Brewers minor leaguer Ben Stanczyk. Those included Stepan's homerun, another solo homerun by Sam Spurney, a pair of hits by Josh Krowiorz and a single by Stewart Larsen. Several Bandits hitters squared up some balls directly at A's outfielders. Chris Krepline took the loss while Nathan Shea pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief. The Bandits will send Liam O'Brien to the mound on Thursday night @ 7:30pm. The Whitworth University (WA) lefty is the Bandits leading pitcher with a 7-1 record.
