Northeastern League Announces All-League Team

The Manitowoc Bandits were well represented on the 2011 NEWBL All League this year having won both the Regular Season and Playoff Championships.  The Bandits have six 1st Team, two 2nd Team and two Honorable Mention members.  In addition, Max Stepan was named the League's Most Valuable Player and Liam O'Brien was name Most Valuable Pitcher.

Bandits Finish 2011 Season with Championship

The Manitowoc Bandits claimed the 2011 NEWBL Championship with a 10-2 win over the Sheboygan A's on Thursday night. Liam O'Brien picked up his eighth win of the year and Sam Spurney hit his eighth homer of the year.

Bandits Open Finals with 6-3 Win

In what was sure to be a close game at Municipal Field on Tuesday night, the Manitowoc Bandits and Sheboygan A's squared off to open the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League Championship Series.  Fans were not disappointed as the Bandits and A's battled back and forth with the Bandits holding a narrow 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the eighth inning when Nat Richter laced a double down the right field line that scored Stewart Larsen.  Richter would then score on an error by Sheboygan shortstop Grant Berkovitz's, providing the Bandits with a pair of insurance runs.&n

Bandits will Battle Sheboygan in Finals

The Bandits & A's will square off for Championship as Sheboygan eliminated Menasha by winning the suspended game by a score of 1-0 on Sunday night in Menasha.

Bandits Advance to Championship Series

Liam O'Brien tossed a complete game to propel the Bandits into the NEWBL Championship Series with an 8-3 win over the Appleton Legends on Saturday night in Appleton.  The Bandits scored five runs in the top of the first inning as the offense struck early.  To open the game, Kevin Valerio singled, Brock Wetenkamp doubled and then Max Stepan and Mike Hall singled.  Five more Bandits would bat before Appleton went to its top player John Hendrick to hold the game in tow.  Hendrick would do just that, pitching five scoreless innings before the Bandits scored an unearned

Bandits Take Playoff Opener, Win 13-9

Bandits outfielder Sam Spurney broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth inning with a towering Grand Slam homerun that cleared the left field fences as the Bandits won their 2011 Northeastern League Playoff Opener by a score of 13-9.  Chris Krepline started on the mound for the Bandits and tossed six innings to pick up the win, giving up five runs, four earned.  He struck out one and walked four.  He was aided by five double plays, four by the Bandits defense of Tommy Kawamura, Nat Richter and Mike Hall and one on a sensational catch and toss to third base by

Bandits Rally in Ninth to Win Regular Season Finale

Trailing 5-4 going into the ninth, the Bandits scored six runs on just three hits but were helped out with three walks and two errors as they overtook the Menasha Macs on Wednesday night to wrap up the regular season.  Miles Mayer picked up the win and Nat Richter and Kevin Valerio led the team offensively with 3 RBIs and 2 RBIs respectively.  The Bandits now move on to the playoffs where they will host the Appleton Legends in the first round.  Game one is Friday night at Manitowoc at 7:30pm.  Game Two is at Appleton on Saturday at 5:00
